CargoBEIC

A permanent location for the cargo bike industry
FIETSDIENSTEN.NL AND LENTEKRACHT ARE DEVELOPING A PERMANENT EXHIBITION SPACE FOR THE CARGO BIKE INDUSTRY.
CargoBEIC WILL BE BASED IN THE NETHERLANDS, IN THE CITY OF ARNHEM. CLOSE TO THE GERMAN BORDER AND IN THE HEART OF EUROPE.
Since 2012, Fietsdiensten.nl has organised the annual International Cargo Bike Festival; the event where the professional cargo bike community gets together to meet, inform and inspire each other.
There is a clear need to maintain this movement and energy throughout the year. This desire has been given an extra boost by the corona crisis, as the ICBF could not be held in either 2020 or 2021.
For this reason, Fietsdiensten.nl, in partnership with social entrepreneurship agency Lentekracht, is launching the Cargo Bike Expertise & Innovation Centre (CargoBEIC). A centre where the cargo bike industry can share knowledge and promote their products and services. An organisation in which research and knowledge about cargo bikes and their use will come together and be shared. In order to fulfil this role most effectively, CargoBEIC is being established in both physical and virtual locations.
Locations
The physical location will take the form of a permanent exhibition, where players from the cargo bike industry can display their products, services and ideas. In addition, the centre will facilitate the organisation of meetings and the testing of cargo bikes. CargoBEIC’s virtual component will provide the cargo bike community with an online presence through a social media community, website, knowledge base and, in time, an online exhibition.

Participate with CargoBEIC
CargoBEIC is currently in development. To take the concept to the next level, we are specifically looking for the following:
> Exhibitors: manufacturers and other parties from the market who are interested in presenting their products or services at the CargoBEIC physical location (for more information, see the information on the reverse);
> Knowledge, research and cooperation partners, including manufacturers and users of cargo bikes, plus knowledge and educational institutions and local governments that want to join us in projects under the CargoBEIC umbrella to further develop the successful use of cargo bikes in our cities;
> Investors and other financiers who can contribute in the start-up phase (eventually CargoBEIC will be financially self-sufficient).
