The designer Charlélie Flamant unveils his prototype cargo bike called BIG TETU, the first bike in the TETU CARGOBIKES range. The aim of this project is to give access to the full potential of this transportation tool, by proposing a dynamic and sustainable utility bike, intended for creative individuals community groups and businesses looking for sustainable alternative mobility solutions. Then, to study and understand their specific needs in order to design a bespoke transport solution tailored to the business or personal requirements.
It is also equipped with a retractable side system, developed specifically to facilitate the transport of long items or to extend the surface area of the transport section. Great attention has been paid to the quality of the bicycle parts and accessories used, selecting components that combine reliability, low maintenance, replaceability and repairability to ensure the bike’s longevity and reduce maintenance times.
The techniques used for the frame, accessories and fittings are designed to make sense in local production, using artisanal and semi-industrial techniques, within a network of local service providers and partners, composed of cycle professionals, machinists, welders, Fablab and prototyping center, all within a radius of less than 300kms.
Its adaptability and ease of design and maintenance make it an ideal ally for diversifying our methods of transport, so that they are reasonable and responsible.
