Tomorrow (Friday 14th June), people from all over the world are gathering in Groningen for the Conference of the International Cargo Bike Festival. They’ll get a glimpse of how city logistics looks in Groningen and beyond, and what role pedal-power has to play.
Online registration has now closed. But don’t worry! It is still possible to register tomorrow morning between 09:00 and 09:45 – just go the the information desk at the venue, EM2.
The cost to attend is €175 (ex VAT) including coffee/tea at breaks and lunch. Unfortunately it is no longer possible to register for the evening dinner.
The Conference takes place at EM2, a venue on the Suikerfabriekterrein, a post-industrial former sugar factory turned festival venue on the western edge of Groningen city centre.
Groningen is one of the world’s most cycling-friendly cities, so this is obviously the best way of getting to the conference.
It is not possible to enter the site by bike or on foot using the vehicle entrance. There is a foot/bike bridge on the northern side of the site. Cross the bridge and you will find EM2 to your left, past the large building and the old factory chimney.
Address for navigation to the bridge:
