Franklin Jones serves as CEO of B-Line Urban Delivery in Portland, Oregon. B-Line offers local food producers get their products into the urban market, as well as Last Mile Logistics utilizing electric-assist freight tricycles for companies large and small. B-Line provides a unique platform that reduces congestion and pollution while creating better access to the market for a wide range of customers.
B-Line draws on Franklin’s combined interests in cycling, community, and sustainability. He earned degrees in history and environmental studies from Bowdoin College in Maine. Franklin was exposed to urban planning while he worked in bicycle and transportation design in Central Oregon, and then learned first hand how goods are delivered in communities all over the globe via a 13,000 mile bicycle trip around the world. After a rewarding ten-year career as a sixth grade teacher, Franklin founded B-Line in 2009. He has since built B-Line into a company of prominence in North American cycle logistics and became recognized as a Champion of the B-Corp movement for his commitment to a triple bottom line business model. Franklin’s vision is to utilize the power of business to help communities become more livable and sustainable for all.
