ICBF announces October dates and partnership with World of eMobility

We’re delighted to announce that the 2022 Edition of the International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) will take place between 27-29th October! We’re teaming up with World of eMobility to hold a unique, innovation-focused event with exhibition space, a huge indoor test track and a cargo bike conference.

The venue is EXPO Haarlemmermeer; a huge indoor glass building close to Amsterdam and close to Schipol airport and train station; the city of Haarlem is also nearby. We’re putting together a programme of speakers and side-events (such as – we hope – cargo bike racing) – more information on that when it’s available. And that’s not all: to support the festival, we are also publishing the ICBF Magazine 2022 in early October.

ICBF x World of eMobility

For the ICBF 2022 we are planning something different. On 27-29th October, the ICBF will take place in a special cargo bike area at World of eMobility, a hybrid B2B/B2C trade show which debuted in 2021. As the name suggests, the show caters to all things that are electric and that get you from A to B, including e-cars, e-vans, e-scooters, e-trucks and even construction equipment.

Change of plan…

The sharp-eyed among you will remember that we sent out a message at the end of 2021 asking people to save the dates 6-8th May 2022. These were the original dates of a “Covid-safe” event we were planning – potentially with no live audience. So why the change of plan, you might ask? Covid restrictions have now been removed in the Netherlands, meaning that an in-person event at which people can interact is preferable. At the same time we took the opportunity to collaborate with World of eMobility. Too great an opportunity to miss!
