The #DecadeoftheCargoBike is in full swing, so this year we’ve teamed up with Fully Charged LIVE Europe for a hybrid B2C and B2B event covering not only cargo bikes, but also e-bikes and all other forms of electric mobility.
But don’t worry, the ICBF will keep its character – the cargo bike expo will have its own area and we’re expecting over 50 exhibitors. In addition, we’re hosting an extensive and wide-ranging programme of speakers across the three days.
So whether it’s a family-friendly fun or inspiring networking and information gathering for your work, ICBF 2023 is an event you won’t want to miss. We’ve gathered all the information here that you need to make your visit a success. More information on access for people with disabilities will follow.

Venue - RAI Amsterdam
Situated on the southern edge of the city centre – and ultra-connected with its own railway station, RAI Amsterdam is the largest exhibition hall and convention centre in the Dutch capital.
Fun fact: the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest was held at RAI Amsterdam (Ireland won).
Address: RAI Amsterdam, Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Find it on Google Maps)
Getting there
RAI Amsterdam, the venue for the International Cargo Bike Festival and Fully Charged LIVE Europe, is located on the southern edge of Amsterdam’s historic centre. Read on for our tips on how to get there.

Bike
The best way to get around in the Netherlands? By bike of course! Visiting the city? There are plenty of places to hire a bike when you arrive – from hotels to local bike shops. It’s a short ride to the venue from the centre of Amsterdam.
Public Transport
RAI Amsterdam is served by multiple high frequency public transport connections. It even has its own railway station. Public transport hubs at Amsterdam Centraal Station and Amsterdam Zuid offer national and international connections.
If you are staying elsewhere in the Netherlands, most places are very well connected by public transport. Check out your options here.
You can check in and out on trains, buses, trams and metros throughout the Netherlands with your debit card, credit card or mobile phone. More info here.
International Rail
Amsterdam is a major European rail hub, with connections to London, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Köln and Berlin, among others. There are night train connections from Vienna, Münich, Innsbruck, Basel and Zürich. All of which makes rail a convenient, viable and pleasant way of travelling to the Netherlands.
Driving
We don’t recommend hiring a car when you are in the Netherlands. It can be very difficult to drive around and park in Dutch cities, while the cycling, walking and public transport options are sufficient for most trips.
Still need to drive, or bring you own vehicle? RAI Amsterdam is next to the A10 ring road, meaning you don’t need to drive into the city. There is paid parking at the venue.
Accommodation
These hotels are a good place to start:
Van der Valk Hotel, Haarlem
De Zoete Inval, outside Haarlem
NH Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport
Coming with a campervan? Camperpark N205 is open all year and is situated around 400m from the venue – at the end of the car park.
Access for people with disabilities
We believe it is important that everybody feels welcome at, and has access to the International Cargo Bike Festival – including people with disabilities.
RAI Amsterdam offers accessible toilets and step-free access to all areas. Accessible parking places are also available, although these cannot be booked in advance.
Public transport is mostly accessible in the Netherlands, although there are unfortunately a few exceptions. For information about your specific journey, check 9292.nl.
If you have queries about your specific access needs, please contact us.

Disabled and wheelchair accessible
We think it is important that RAI Amsterdam is accessible to everyone. That is why we have special facilities to receive visitors with reduced mobility or a disability as well as possible.
For example, the aisles are all flat and spacious. Lifts and disabled toilets are available throughout the building.
