What we do
We’re here for the cargo bike. How? By telling stories, engaging, promoting, lobbying and cooperating.

We organise the International Cargo Bike Festival
With humble beginnings in 2012, the International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) has grown into the place where the cargo bike world comes together.
The ICBF also engages with and attracts and professionals from government, the voluntary sector, logistics and a wide range of other sectors, as well as investors. Not to mention people interested in personal mobility and in campaigning to change their cities and the environment for the better.
We tell stories…
Every cargo bike has a story – as does every individual, family or organisation that uses them.
Our new cargo bike magazine – Carrier – aims to tell these stories. In it you’ll find beautiful imagery and inspiration from across the globe.
We published Carrier issue 01 in late 2023, but we’ve been publishing magazines every year since 2016. The whole back-catalogue is available to read free online.
We also regularly publish long-read feature articles on our website. In these, we take a deep dive into a topic, organisation or product, exploring the implications for the industry and society at large.
We engage…
…with our organically-grown online network of over 30k followers
We use social media to share the most inspiring cargo bike news, trends, initiatives and technologies with people from across the world.
We promote…
We help businesses and organisations involved in cargo bikes to meet their goals.
We lobby…
We initiate, participate in and mediate conversations with government, business, NGOs and others
By engaging on issues and topics such as cargo bike parking, subsidies, pilot projects and more, we hope to get more cargo bikes on our streets while also making current cargo bike users’ lives easier.
We cooperate…
We work together with Dutch Cycling Week to put on the ICBF. Dutch Cycling Week is an Utrecht-based knowledge platform and activation initiative to stimulate bicycle use in the broadest sense of the word. The organisation aims – by bringing a number of cycling events under its umbrella – to become the world’s largest platform for knowledge sharing, policy making and stimulation for bicycle use.
We are also proud members of the Dutch Cycling Embassy, a public-private organisation which shares expertise and technology to facilitate cycling worldwide as the most modern, efficient and sustainable method of transport.
