International Cargo Bike Festival to return to Utrecht in 2025

2 March 2025
Could 2025 be the breakthrough year for the longtail in the Netherlands?

We’re delighted to announce that, following a successful 2024 edition in the city, the International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) will return to Utrecht in 2025. On 13-14th October the original annual cargo bike event will once again take place at the Jaarbeurs venue, in the heart of one of Europe’s true cycling cities.

The ICBF is where the cargo bike world comes together to showcase its vision for the future of urban mobility. And following feedback from exhibitors in 2024, we have also decided to sharpen our focus: ICBF 2025 will be a future-oriented, innovation-focussed event for B2B and professionals whose work intersects with cargo bikes.

B2C visitors are still welcome, but the focus is on B2B: including dealers, distributors, fleet managers, policymakers, investors and developers. To complement this, we’ve moved the event to two mid-week days. The ICBF will once again eb a standalone event, under the umbrella of Dutch Cycling Week.

Product Pitch

On stage at International Cargo Bike Festival 2024

Elements people know and love about the ICBF, including the relaxed atmosphere, test track, expo and stage, will all return in 2025. New for this edition will be Product Pitch, in which every exhibitor gets the opportunity to present their cargo bike, product or service on stage at the ICBF. It’s an extra way for exhibitors to showcase their organisations in a 2 minute pitch to the ICBF audience – as part of the package.

Pitches will be recorded by Broadcast Bike and published on the ICBF YouTube channel.

Price freeze – and early bird

Exhibitors can sign up already – with early-bird pricing running until the end of March. In addition, again following feedback from exhibitors, we have frozen prices on floorspace. The prices from 2024 will again apply this year, offering extra value to participating exhibitors and helping them to make every cent of their marketing budget count. Necessities like electrical connections, test track use, and WiFi come as standard. Visitors will once again be able to visit for free.

Exhibitors can find further information on the ICBF website. It’s also possible to download the ICBF 2025 Exhibitor Pack here.
